Mi chiamo Leonardo, sono laureato in Lingue e Letterature Straniere e grazie alla mia tesi di Laurea (un’analisi linguistica dell’inglese utilizzato nel linguaggio e-mail), ho sviluppato un grande interesse per il mondo web ed ho frequentato il corso  “Esperto Asp”, durante il quale ho avuto modo di conoscere i database relazionali (in particolare Sql Server 2000), Visual Basic 6.0, la formattazione html ed il framework Asp (Active Server Pages)

Successivamente ho frequentato il “Master in Informatica per la Pubblica Amministrazione e l’E-Government” relativo alla gestione di progetti informatici nella Pubblica Amministrazione e nelle imprese private. Durante i successivi tre mesi di stage, ho collaborato alla realizzazione di un progetto riguardante l’aggiornamento tecnico-contenutistico di tre portali di Enti comunali ( http://www.retedeicomunivirgiliani.it/ – ) mediante l’uso di un sistema di Content Management Open Source (Xmambo 4.5).  Come elaborato di tirocinio, ho realizzato il relativo manuale per l’amministratore per una veloce e semplice gestione dei portali.

Ho frequentato inoltre il “Corso di Specializzazione in Tecniche di Networking e Sicurezza di Rete” (volto ad acquisire la certificazione Cisco Ccna) riguardante le diverse tecniche di networking, routing, switching e la protezione delle reti digitali.

Inoltre ho recentemente terminato il corso di “Computer forensics e investigazioni digitali: tecniche e strategie informatico-giuridiche di gestione degli incidenti informatici” presso la facoltà di Giurisprudenza di Milano, durante il quale ho avuto modo di conoscere le basi delle indagini informatiche (digital, computer e network forensics, in particolare riferite all’ambito dell’analisi di dispositivi mobili – cellulari, smartphone, iphone, ipod, lettori mp3, console, pda – ), le investigazioni relative alle sim/usim card e più generalmente, tramite un approccio multi-disciplinare (informatico-giuridico, tecnico, investigativo) poter gestire le emergenze connesse ad un incidente informatico e alla gestione del flusso di informazioni digitali, sia nel settore pubblico che privato. Quindi valutare, acquisire e gestire la prova digitale e l’informazione elettronica in generale, sia a fini processuali (penali, civili, giuslavoristici, amministrativi) sia per lo svolgimento di investigazioni interne e/o aziendali.

Generalmente la mia tariffa è basata su un’accurata analisi del testo da tradurre:

– genere (sono specializzato in informatica, localizzazione web/software e digital forensics ).

Informatica  può voler dire tutto e niente: informatica potrebbe essere il semplice testo che spiega come accendere un computer, o il manuale (sempre che esista 🙂 …) per governare lo shuttle :).

– formato  (pdf, doc, xls, ppt, swf, jpeg, bitmap, gif, ecc… )

– volume del progetto

– i tempi di consegna

– i termini di pagamento

My name is Leonardo, I am graduated in Foreign Languages and Literatures and thanks to my thesis (a linguistic analysis of English language used in email ), I developed a great interest in the web world and therefore attended the “Asp (Active Server Pages) Expert” course, during which I was able to know the relational databases (in particular Sql Server 2000), Visual Basic 6.0, html formatting and Asp (Active Server Pages) framework.

Then I attended the “Master Course in Informatics for Public Administration and E-Government ” , related to IT projects management in Public Administration and private companies. During the following three months of training period, I collaborated to the realization of a project regarding the technical and content upgrading of three local portals ( http://www.retedeicomunivirgiliani.it/ ), through the use of an Open Source Content Management System (Xmambo 4.5).

I also attended the “Specialization Course in Networking and Security Techniques ” in order to acquire the Cisco Ccna certification ) on the various techniques of networking, routing, switching and digital network protection .

I attended also the course “ Computer forensics and digital investigations: informatics and legal techniques of incident response management” at the Faculty of Law in Milan, during which I could learn the basics of computer investigation ( digital, computer and network forensics , in particular related to the analysis of mobile devices – cell phones, smartphones, iphone, ipod, mp3 players, game consoles, PDAs -). the investigations of SIM / USIM cards ; and more generally, through a multi-disciplinary approach ( informatics and legal , technical, investigative ) how to handle the emergencies related to a computer incident and how to manage the flow of digital information both in the public and private sectors. Therefore evaluate, acquire and manage the digital evidence and the electronic information in general, both for procedural purposes ( criminal, civil, employment and administrative law) and for conducting internal and/or business investigations .

For translating I generally use the following CAT tools: Omegat and Poedit and Trados 2007.

I do not have a standard rate.

Generally my rate is based on a thorough analysis of the text to be translated:

— Genre (I am specialized in Computer Science, Web/Software Localization, Digital Forensics ).

It is fundamental to specify the genre: saying “the translation is about computer science” may mean everything: “computer science” could be a simple text that explains how to turn on a computer, or the manual (if existing 🙂 …) to govern the space shuttle :).

— Format (pdf, doc, xls, ppt, swf, jpeg, bitmap, gif, etc. …)

— Project volume

— Delivery times
